Consultant at BR1GHT

For 24 to 40 hours a week

We are looking for two experienced consultants to complement our Surinamese team. In this role, you will advise clients on (software) solutions for risk management, compliance and/or (IT-)security. This includes pre-sales, demos, application implementation and specialist consulting.
You don’t need to be a specialist in all areas, but if your capabilities and interests lie in one of these, then we are very interested to meet you!

Besides being a consultant to our local and international clients, you will support us on a strategic, tactical and operational level and actively participate in the overall development of BR1GHT in all regions where BR1GHT is active.

Specific aspects:

Your main responsibilities are:

• Representing BR1GHT within Suriname and in the markets where BR1GHT operates, with the aim of establishing and protecting the brand name.
• Advising BR1GHT’s clients and prospects on one or more of the following; (IT) Governance, Risk Management, (IT-) security Compliance and Internal Control matters.
• The consultant role aims to ensure satisfied clients and involves timely, accurate, and complete delivery of advice and deliverables within client assignments, along with transparent communication to both the client and BR1GHT about these assignments.
• Contributing broadly to BR1GHT’s pre-sales, sales, (application) delivery, and after-sales activities.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products and services delivered or implemented by BR1GHT.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to develop GRC strategies and contribute to internal projects.
• Participating in the overall development of BR1GHT.

Who Are you?

To be successful in the position you have knowledge and experience in at least one of the mentioned areas.

General requirements:

• Risk Management, Finance, Business, or related background and education.
• For compliance: an understanding of laws & regulations and the translation to compliance processes
• For security more in-depth IT-security knowledge and experience.
• Professional certification in compliance, risk management and project management (e.g., ACAMS, CRMA, FRM) or for security specific IT-security certification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related role or relevant industry experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools and software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proactive, confident and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Service-oriented attitude.
• Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
