SITA TeamMate+ observation tracking implementation

SITA provides IT and telecommunications services tailored to the air transport industry. It supports the operations of the entire global industry with solutions for passenger processing, airport operations, baggage management, border management, aircraft operations, and more. With a presence in over 200 countries, SITA plays a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency of aviation, and the overall passenger experience. SITA is now bringing its expertise to the wider travel industry, including rail and maritime, with intermodal links across journeys.

SITA’s decision to implement TeamMate+ was initiated by the SITA Internal Audit’s team as a result of the advanced manner in which they provide stakeholder reporting relating to Observation Tracking and Action Plan Follow-up. During scoping and interactive deep dive sessions BR1GHT was able to demonstrate that TeamMate+ provides advanced solutions relating to these processes.

Consequently, SITA selected TeamMate+ to realise elevated excellence in their Observation Tracking process, whilst also providing assurance that they can manage the Action Plan lifecycle and follow-up process to their needs and requirements.

BR1GHT was able to demonstrate a deep understanding of SITA’s needs and requirements during a thorough proof of concept (POC) exercise. This exercise showcased how the application can address SITA’s comprehensive Observation tracking and action plan reporting requirements, reassuring SITA that TeamMate+ was the right choice. In order to ensure project success, BR1GHT aligned the POC closely with SITA’s expectations and provided a clear vision of the applications benefits. Configuration of TeamMate+ through interactive workshops
BR1GHT facilitated a number of structured and interactive workshops with the SITA project team. The SITA project team found the workshops to be informative, inspiring and motivating while also providing real opportunity for “on the job training” as well as knowledge sharing. The hands-on approach created a collaborative environment that ensured that SITA aligned their existing Observation Tracking workflows and specific organizational requirements with TeamMate+.

Digital collaboration for Follow-up of Action Plans by stakeholders
Supported by BR1GHT, SITA aligned TeamMate+ with the action plans monitoring requirements of its stakeholders. The approach implemented ensures that all observations and, more importantly, action plans are identified, monitored, and addressed in an effective and consistent manner across the organization. The stakeholder monitoring approach includes automated reminders and systematic tracking of the action plans, all of which are integrated into the Internal Audit process.

BR1GHT aims to remain in close contact with SITA to facilitate the further customization of TeamMate+, to ensure optimized utilisation as their needs evolve, whilst ensuring that TeamMate+ meets their specific ambitions. Our joint collaboration ensures that any challenges are promptly addressed, and the full potential of TeamMate+ is realized. In the software acquisition phase, we emphasised the need for extended support and guidance for the SITA project team, also allowing for proper and effective knowledge transfer as well as “on the job” training. The intention being to make the implementation as efficient and effective as possible, ensuring SITA Internal Audit Team is “at speed” with the newly implemented system from “day 1”.

The implementation of TeamMate+ has significantly improved efficiency and oversight. The process for follow up of issue management is now automated reducing administrative tasks and allowing the team to focus on higher-value audit activities.
