DELA TeamMate+ tailored champions training and unused teammate potential identification

Our client, DELA, an international cooperative, founded in 1937, specialising in funeral services and insurance. It also offers funeral insurance, life insurance and comprehensive funeral care services, such as cremation and memorial services. DELA operates primarily in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. It supports over 5 million insured persons, providing financial, practical and emotional assistance during end-of-life arrangements.

Recently the DELA internal audit team has experienced some changes in their team structure and as a result it became apparent that there was a need to re-establish the TeamMate champion within their audit function. As a result we were asked to provide a tailored training for their new appointed TeamMate+ Champions, upskilling them to ensure that they have the knowledge and skills to fulfil their role, becoming able to take benefit of the possibilities of TeamMate.

As part of the training we, together with the champions identified inefficiencies in DELA’s usage of TeamMate, for further system utilization going forward.
This also showed TeamMate possibilities where DLA could collaborate more with the DELA organization and auditees, around issue tracking and reporting possibilities. To enable this we challenge the status quo in a sparring session with DELA Internal Audit Management.

Practical training that goes beyond just the theory with real-life use cases
We added the DELA specific needs to our templated TeamMate+ Champion training to align with their ways of working. We deliver training that goes beyond just the theory, including real-life use cases from our experiences with peers. It makes the learning experience greater this way, and brings more added value as we incorporate the working experiences from all our customers.

Identification of unused (new) possibilities of TeamMate unlocking new benefits
During the training we jointly identify unused and new features that DELA could and/or should leverage to drive efficiency, utilise risk-based audit planning, workflow automation and data-driven insights towards stakeholders. We, BR1GHT, keep these considerations in mind during the training, and bring in the value-add during the sparring partner session, which turns TeamMate from an audit documentation system into a stakeholder/ management collaboration system in improving governance.

Strategic CAE session building roadmap together elevating added value to stakeholders
In our CAE session we determine, together with DELA, how to strengthen risk-based audit planning, enhance automation to increase audit efficiency and what impact can be made using TeamMate towards the organisation. This to elevate Internal Audit and TeamMate value to its stakeholders. Together it is the aim to build a roadmap, whereby with practical best-practice ways of working and reporting options TeamMate is to be leveraged in achieving Internal Audits strategic ambitions.
