University of Twente TeamMate+ Implementation

The Universiteit Twente (hereafter: University of Twente) is a Dutch public technical university located in Enschede, Netherlands. The university offers a wide range of degree programs in the fields of engineering, social sciences, and natural sciences, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to education and research. It is renowned for its innovative campus.

University of Twente was looking for a new audit management system to bring its four audit disciplines together: IT, Financial, Behavioural and Sustainability. During the implementation we effectively translated all afore mentioned disciplines into a unified approach using TeamMate+. Each discipline had their own audit terminology, workflows and approvals, as such the objective was clear; enhance the way of working with an audit management system that suits and aligned their audit methodologies. This challenge presented an exciting opportunity for us at BR1GHT to apply our proven expertise in TeamMate+ and deliver a solution to meet the unique needs of the University of Twente.

This client experience is about our support and added value delivered during the selection and implementation process to get TeamMate+ live.

Workshops pave the way for a smooth transition to TeamMate+
BR1GHT supported a quick adoption of the new system. Through workshops, with feedback from them during the process, we were able to facilitate a smooth transition. This allowed the auditors to confidently navigate the new platform and utilize its features from week one.

Streamlined Decision-Making Enabled Effective TeamMate+ Adoption
A key factor in the success of Universiteit Twente’s implementation was the short communication lines and decisive decision-making of the audit department. This allowed the implementation team to quickly address any concerns, make timely adjustments, and keep the project on track, resulting in a swift and efficient rollout of TeamMate+.

Leveraging Existing Content in TeamMate+ Implementation
Throughout the implementation process, BR1GHT encouraged the implementation team to utilize the IT, financial ,and behavioural and sustainability financial audit content from the University’s existing way of working, methodology and knowledge library. This was essential in maintaining continuity and preserving the integrity of the continued way of working. By integrating this into TeamMate+, we ensured the safeguarding and the value of the established and validated knowledge.

Standardization and consistency via TeamMate templates
During the workshops BR1GHT and the project team engaged in a collaborative process with the UT team to incorporate the needs and requirements of the three four audit disciplines. The approach utilized was to standardize the audit structure through the implementation of templates. By applying this approach it proved to simplify the adoption process for the UT team, and shows that it is possible for multiple audit disciplines needs and requirements to be comprehensively considered during the implementation of TeamMate+.

We are proud of the agile collaboration we achieved with the University’s audit department, which allowed for a rapid and efficient rollout of TeamMate+. The team facilitated short communication lines and quick decision-making, enabling us to address any concerns immediately and make timely decisions. This close partnership ensured that the project implementation resulted in a swift, effective deployment of the new system, whilst responding to the dynamics of the project.

As Universiteit Twente we aimed to implement our four audit disciplines - IT, Financial, Behavioural and Sustainability - into one cohesive system.
